Here's some tips on when is the best time and day of the week to send your marketing messages to maximize your engagement rate.
One of the questions I hear often from my clients is when is the best time and day to send my email marketing campaigns out.
83% of businesses rely on email marketing as their number 1 lead generation tool.
Here's what the research says.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days to send overall when you're looking at maximizing your open-rate. That's how many people are opening your emails and reading them. Going further than that, depending on the industry that you're in, or the type of product you're selling, the day that you send email on can definetly make a difference.
For recreational, hobby-related or retail emails, you're typically better off sending these email marketing messages over the weekend.
- Hobby or recreation emails typically have a higher open-rate when they're sent between 6 and 8AM.
- Retail-related emails perform better when you're sending them out between 8 and 9AM.
Depending on what industry, and what product or service you're offering, it can have an impact on when you're going to be sending your email campaigns out. Do some research, do some tests sending emails out at different times of the day and different days of the week to see which campaign performs better, which one gets the most clicks and which one gets the highest open-rate.
