Marketing Your Online Store During the Holidays

We’ve got Black Friday coming up, we’ve got the holiday season coming up and if you’ve got an e-commerce store, you’ve got to figure out a way to get your brand in front of your customers. This is the time of the year you can break sales records.

So how are you going to do that? Here’s a couple of ideas.

Personalized Email

First thing you can do is personalize your messaging.  If you’ve got an e-commerce store, you probably already know what your customers have bought previously from your store.  You’ve got access to some amazing data.  Depending on the platform you’re using, you could see products they’ve purchased, products they’ve abandoned, viewed and more!

Look at your data and create some email marketing focussed on a couple of groups. For example, if you’ve got some a large group of users that bought clothes for kids between the age of 4-5, it’s time to put together that markets this group with more clothes for those kids that are now 1 year older and show parents what they can get for their kids this coming holiday season since they’ve most likely outgrown what they bought last year!

Key word is personalization.

Video.  It’s all about Video!!

Number 2. What you want to do is use video.  People love watching video.  Again, if you’ve got some people that are shopping at your store for children’s clothing, get some kids together, put some snowmen, snow, Christmas trees (anything seasonal that triggers an emotional response!)  in the background and shoot some video with these kids wearing the latest in greatest in fashion that you want to push this holidays season.

In summary, to rock your sales this holiday shopping season, get some videos going, personalize your email campaigns and you’ll drive more customers that are qualified and looking to buy what you’re selling to your online store.
